“Shaping My Vessel” – A Women’s Conference at Bethlehem Bible College
The Women’s Ministry of Bethlehem Bible College, known as “A Pot in His Hand,” organized a transformative two-day training conference titled “Shaping My Vessel.” Damaris, a dedicated team member, warmly welcomed participants and cast a compelling vision for the ministry, outlining its goals and the journey ahead. The session began with an engaging ice-breaking activity, where each participant crafted a personalized notebook.
Pastor Jack Sara, president of BethBC, led an uplifting worship session accompanied by Marianne and Mickael Sara. Dr. Madeline Sara, the founder and director of the women’s ministry, then led a profound meditation drawing from the Song of Songs. Her message, a powerful affirmation of women’s worth and potential, left the women empowered and ready to embrace their intrinsic worth, defying societal pressures. Central to the message was the affirmation that women can thrive in their roles without compromising their femininity, reflecting their creation in God’s image.
On the first day, guest speaker Pastor Mamdouh Lawendy delivered a series of impactful lectures on the DISC theory. These lectures explored the nuances of the four behavioral patterns, highlighting strengths, weaknesses, and avenues for personal growth.
The second day began with a powerful praise and prayer session, followed by Dr. Madeline’s reflection on the significance of values and behaviors rooted in personal and collective integrity, using Ruth’s character as a poignant example.
Continuing the exploration of behavioral patterns, Pastor Mamdouh led a thought-provoking activity alongside Dr. Madeline to help attendees define their vision and aspirations through innovative methods. In the concluding lectures, Pastor Mamdouh further illuminated the paths of personal vision, divine calling, and strategic goal-setting to navigate life’s journey effectively.
The conference concluded with joy and camaraderie, epitomizing the strong sense of community and shared purpose. This was beautifully captured in a memorable group photo. As we pray for continued blessings upon all participants, we look forward to journeying together in faith and purpose, united by our shared experiences and learnings.
Reflecting on her experience with the “A Pot in His Hand” ministry, Hala, one of the dedicated members, shared, “My participation was profoundly impactful for my personal growth and psychological well-being. It provided a safe and non-judgmental space where I could openly express myself. Through the workshops and conferences, I renewed and strengthened my inner faith, fostering positive relationships and distancing myself from negativity. Despite our differences, I felt a strong sense of belonging and unity with others who shared similar goals and values despite differing expressions. This experience deepened my self-awareness and clarified my current life path, empowering me to set meaningful goals for the future and take actionable steps toward achieving them. I also formed new, supportive relationships within a nurturing and accepting community.”
Ranin also reflected on her experience, saying, “My participation in the meetings and workshops helped me understand myself better, acknowledge the importance of my feelings, appreciate the value of time, and commit to positive change.”
‘Shaping My Vessel’ leaves a lasting imprint as participants depart with renewed spirits and strengthened connections. The Women’s Ministry of Bethlehem Bible College continues its commitment to empower and uplift women, fostering grace and resilience in their journey forward.
