Romans 11:36 “For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.

War is one of the most destructive forces in our fallen world, where death looms at every turn for those who must inevitably confront it, whether in war or in life. This raises a profound question: Where do we go after death? During the war in Syria, this question, along with others—such as the existence of God and why He doesn’t communicate with us—occupied my thoughts. After a long search for a true God who could promise me a place after death, I found no religion that assured me of eternal life.

In the midst of our search for answers, the Lord Jesus Christ emerged from the chaos in our lives. He loved us as we were and transformed our family, renewing our lives and freeing us from turmoil. We experienced healing from the wounds and pain caused by war and distress, and He gave us a new story together. He is the only one who promises eternal life to all who believe in Him, as He is the only one who rose from the dead and conquered it. As stated in John 6:47, “Very truly, I tell you, whoever believes in me has eternal life.

My wife and I began following the Lord Jesus Christ, but we had many questions about God’s nature and true worship. However, God did not leave us in confusion. He revealed Himself to my wife in a vision, saying, “Do not be afraid; I love you. Go and tell the world about me.” In that moment, our doubts vanished. The God we had envisioned, seated on His throne in heaven, came to us and spoke directly. He is a living God who hears and communicates. He transformed our lives, saved us from our sins, and renewed us in every way. He freed us from our past selves, granting us new life through Him. The Lord of lords and King of kings, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, is not merely an idea or feeling; He is a tangible reality, and we are witnesses to His presence. As Job 42:5 says, “I had heard of you by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees you.
