Bethlehem Bible College Students Visit Pediatric Cancer Patients at Beit Jala Governmental Hospital on World Children’s Day
In honor of World Children’s Day, a group of students from Bethlehem Bible College, accompanied by Mrs. Rula Rishmawi, the Student Affairs Coordinator, and a team from the Shepherd Society, a key partner in this initiative, paid a special visit to children battling cancer at Beit Jala Governmental Hospital. The visit aimed to offer emotional and spiritual support to the children facing the challenges of illness and pain, bringing the joy of Jesus Christ into their young hearts as they endure difficult circumstances.
The students expressed their profound happiness in participating in this humanitarian initiative, emphasizing that the visit gave them a deep sense of responsibility towards their community. They were proud to have contributed, even in a small way, to bringing smiles to the faces of children enduring the hardships of illness.
The doctor in charge warmly welcomed the group and expressed her great joy at the visit, noting that it was the first of its kind in 18 years to take place on World Children’s Day. She described the initiative as a remarkable solidarity act reflecting the college’s commitment to promoting human values and compassion.
This initiative highlights Bethlehem Bible College’s dedication to its social mission, integrating its spiritual message with humanitarian action by sharing the joy of Christ with those most in need. The visit served as a beacon of light amid the struggles of illness, leaving a lasting, heartwarming impression on the children and their families.
We could not have accomplished this meaningful act without the unwavering support and encouragement of our local and international friends, whose generosity and solidarity continue to inspire and sustain us in our mission.
