Rev. Dr. Jack Sara Strengthens the Presence of Bethlehem Bible College Through a Series of Educational, Religious, and National Engagements
Last week, Rev. Dr. Jack Sara, President of Bethlehem Bible College, participated in several significant engagements that reflect the college’s leading role in both academic and spiritual spheres.
He took part in a strategic coordination meeting hosted by Bethlehem University, which brought together university presidents from across the Bethlehem Governorate. The meeting focused on addressing the current challenges facing higher education and exploring avenues for enhanced cooperation among academic institutions. Dr. Sara’s active involvement underscored the college’s ongoing commitment to collaboration and academic development.
In a separate consultative meeting, Rev. Dr. Sara also met with the Prime Minister of Palestine, H.E. Dr. Mohammad Mustafa, reaffirming the college’s engagement with national conversations and educational priorities.
Additionally, Rev. Dr. Sara, accompanied by a delegation of church leaders and civil society representatives, participated in welcoming His Beatitude Pierbattista Pizzaballa, Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, during his visit to the city of Beit Sahour.
As part of his educational and interfaith efforts, Dr. Sara led a group of students from the International Peace Studies Program on an academic visit to Jerusalem. The visit highlighted the historical and religious significance of the Holy City. On the sidelines of the visit, the delegation also toured Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Syriac Orthodox Church. They then visited the Syriac Catholic Exarchate, where they were warmly received by His Eminence Mor Jacob Ephrem. During this encounter, the students were introduced to the Syriac heritage and language as part of the college’s commitment to interchurch understanding and cultural diversity.
These engagements reflect Dr. Sara’s dedication to leading the college with a spirit of openness and dialogue, and reaffirm its identity as a faith-based academic institution committed to justice, learning, and service to the community.
