
We are thrilled to announce the launch of Plants and Trees of the Bible, the first-ever thematic course from BethBC’s new series of online courses! This fascinating journey will take you through the rich and diverse world of plants, trees, and flowers mentioned in the Bible, across both the Old and New Testaments.
In this unique course, you’ll uncover the deep theological meanings behind these plants and trees, exploring their historical, cultural, and symbolic significance. Ever wondered why certain plants like the oak tree, mustard seed, and lily of the valley are mentioned so frequently? Or what insights can be drawn from the sycamore tree of Zacchaeus and the unripened fig tree? Prepare to dive into these stories and more, as we explore how local cultures understood and used these plants in biblical times.
This course will also illuminate the strong connections between biblical teachings and the culture of the land, providing a truly immersive experience. Join us as we begin this exciting exploration.

This course will be given by:
Mr. Haytham Dieck serves as the Head of the Tour Guide program at Bethlehem Bible College. He holds a BA in History with a Minor in Archaeology, and an MA in World Heritage Studies. Currently, he is pursuing a PhD in Social History at Staffordshire University in the United Kingdom.
