
Food of the Bible is an exciting new online course offered by Bethlehem Bible College.
Explore the rich world of food in the Bible—what meals were prepared, the significance of their ingredients, and how they connect to modern Middle Eastern cuisine. This course will take you through the Old and New Testaments, uncovering the spiritual and theological meaning of biblical foods.
From wheat and barley to figs and grapes, you’ll discover how these ingredients were not only staples of daily life but also carried deep spiritual symbolism.
Some of the meals covered include:
🍲 Jacob’s lentil soup
🍇 Abigail’s platter
🥖 The Passover meal of Jesus
🐟 The fish of Galilee
🍎 The apple of Adam
🥘 Abraham’s feast for the angels
This course includes:
- Seven sessions, a total of 14 hours.
- Class recording.
- Course material.
This course will be given by:
Mr. Haytham Dieck serves as the Head of the Tour Guide program at Bethlehem Bible College. He holds a BA in History with a Minor in Archaeology, and an MA in World Heritage Studies. Currently, he is pursuing a PhD in Social History at Staffordshire University in the United Kingdom.
