What You Will Learn
• Historical Development of the Roads
Understand how major roads in the Holy Land emerged, evolved, and functioned across different historical eras.
• The Major Roads of the Holy Land
Identify key routes—such as the Patriarch Road, Via Maris, King’s Highway, and Jericho–Jerusalem Road—and learn about their construction, purpose, and geographical importance.
• Biblical Events on the Roads
Analyze significant Old and New Testament events that took place along these routes, and how they shaped the biblical narrative.
• Theology of the Roads
Explore the spiritual and theological dimensions of these routes, including the symbolism behind Jesus’ words: “I am the Way” (John 14:6).
• Additional Historical Routes
Gain insight into lesser-known roads such as the Ice Road and the Pigeon Road and their historical relevance.
