BBC Dinner to Honour Those who Helped Make Christ at the CheckPoint Conference a Huge Success

The Conference is over, but not quite. There remained the necessary and happy duty of recognizing the many hands behind the scenes that worked incessantly to make it what it was, a successful conference, relaying to the world the plight of the Church in Palestine, and its earnest desire to be a voice of peace and reconciliation and to provide hope in the midst of a region beset by conflict, war and turmoil.

Bethlehem Bible College set aside Monday, March 19, as that special day to honour its staff,  students and conference partners (Holy Land Trust) in a special luncheon at the College Dining facilities, with Im Raja presiding over the kitchen as usual, with her special culinary skills.

It was an event of much joy and satisfaction, as Dr. Bishara, BBC President, presided over the dinner, which was followed by recognition of each group of participants, first the Partners, Holy Land Trust, and its head Sami Awad who spoke briefly, then the College Staff, especially the Finance Dept., then the volunteers, and last, but definitely not least, the students themselves, who were key guests at this event.

Dr. Bishara last recognized Munther Isaac, the key figure who pulled much of the details of the Conference together as he worked tirelessly with his team over many months.

The dinner was attended by many of the College students, most of the Administrative staff and professors, Vice President Jack Sara, and Dean of Students Alex Awad. There was much satisfaction with a job well done by the grace of God.

Mindful always of God’s leading in all activities taken on by the College, we all look forward to how God will lead again as concerns the next Christ at the Checkpoint Conference.
