The Ministry of Tourism & Antiquities Completes the License Exam for Tour Guides

The Ministry of Tourism & Antiquities completed the License Exam for Tour Guides which was held at Bethlehem Bible College and supervised by Dr. Hamdan Taha, Undersecretary, and Mr. Ali Abu Srour, Director General of the Ministry of Tourism Professions.

 According to Dr. Taha 78 tour guide graduates from Palestinian institutes and universities applied and were eligible to participate in the exams. The graduates were classified into various levels: a guide for specific sites, a local guide, a guide for the West Bank and a general tourist guide. Exams included written and oral segments as well as proficiency in 11 different languages. Dr. Taha explained that when students pass all three segments in addition to obtaining a diploma in tourism from one of the colleges recognized by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, they will then be entitled to work as licensed tour guides.
