Bright Sparks at Bethlehem Bible College
On June 16th Bethlehem Bible College was filled with the sounds of excited, young voices—though younger than the normal student body! This week the college’s campus is filled with the singing, cheering and laughter of 100 school-age children, under the careful eye of a team of 30 volunteers. The volunteers have come from both far and near: some from the local community and some from the United States and the United Kingdom.
The camp’s theme is ‘Children of Light’ and each day from 8:30–1:15 the kids participate in worship time, Bible study, crafts, drama and sports. There are even special outings arranged each week, for example the Peace Ark indoor play park in Bet Jala.
One international volunteer commented that it was great ‘Seeing the kid’s responding…wanting to learn during story time…and seeking answers. It was really cool’.
