BBC’s Student Conference

BBC’s Student Conference

As a Bible-centered institution, BBC is deeply invested in student spiritual formation. The spiritual life of our students is nurtured through chapel services twice per week and with an annual student conference.  The purpose of the annual conference is to provide spiritual and social enrichment for the students and to allow for a time of rest and renewal (physically, emotionally, and psychologically).

This time the students went to Nazareth; the destination was chosen because of its historical and Biblical significance. The conference was a great success; it was an opportunity for the students to go to places in their own country that they had never been. The students visited Caesarea and entered one of Herod’s palaces, they also visited Haifa and stopped at Bahai Gardens, the Valley of Jezreel and finally enjoyed the beach in Tel Aviv.

But more importantly it was a time to reflect on God’s love and plans for their future. The director of BBC, Pastor Jack Sara shared a message about the prophet Elijah found in 1King 19. Additionally, Rev. Nihad Salman gave a talk about having a close relationship with God. All in all, the students were able to worship, pray, live in community, laugh and study God’s Word.
