Exploring Palestinian Cultural Heritage by Tour Guide Students

Recently, the Tour Guide Department conducted an educational field trip for its senior Students. The Trip included visiting several important sites in Palestine such as Saint Theodosius Monastery near Bethlehem, the Roman City of Sebastia, and Jacob’s Well Church in Nablus. The students also visited the Old City of Nablus, Tell Balata and the church of Burqin in Jenin. Within the trip students got a great picturesque view of the tangible and intangible heritage of Palestine. From learning the inherited traditions of making Soap and Kunafa in Nablus to seeing the great Roman architecture in Sebastia. Furthermore, this trip enabled the students to develop an understanding of the current condition of Cultural Heritage in Palestine.
